Foremost Insurance Company was founded in 1952 by two investors named Edward J. Frey and Edward L. Stoddard. At the time, their main objective was to create a company that provided insurance to American families living in mobile homes. With the birth of Foremost, construction standards for mobile homes improved, and banks started lending for mobile home purchases. In the 1960s, Foremost became the first company to create a travel trailer policy. This benefited many Americans who liked to travel often and needed coverage.
Foremost expanded in the 1970s when it added boats, motorcycles, minibikes, snowmobiles, and ATVs to its repertoire. They pride themselves on having easy-to-read policies that are straightforward and to the point for interested clients. Fast forward to 2000, Foremost becomes acquired by the Farmers Insurance Group.
Nowadays, Foremost continues to provide 43 states with exceptional auto insurance service. Another unique trait of Foremost is its HelpPoint Claim Services, which provide aid to customers within hours of a natural disaster.
