Before it was National General Insurance, it was two separate companies. One was called Integon. And the other Motors Insurance Company. The former was founded in 1920. The latter was founded by General Motors Acceptance Corp (GMAC) in 1925. In June of 1997, GMAC acquired Integon. But the name didn’t change to National General Insurance until 2013.
Today, its headquarters is in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
When filing a claim, National General requires your policy number and details of the accident you’re reporting. When you file a claim, a claims professional will help you with the rest of the claims process. The claims professional will begin processing your claim and further assessing the damages. An adjuster may also be assigned to your claim to gather all the details and provide an estimate.
If you can still drive your vehicle after the incident, bring it to a National General Drive-In Facility. If not, schedule a Drive-In appraisal with National General.
