Farmers has a five-step claims process that sees every claim through from start to finish.
1. Claim Assignment
When the company receives the claim, they’ll assign it to a claim professional.
2. Initial contact
Once the professional looks over the claim, you’ll be contacted to talk to you about your coverage policy. The professional will explain how your claim will be handled and even suggest more ways to ensure your property is protected from further damage.
3. Estimate and evaluation
This will determine what is and isn’t covered as well as assess the overall damages. Witnesses or other individuals involved may be interviewed to gather more helpful data.
Farmers will work with you to resolve your claim by either paying what you’re owed or explaining why your claim cannot be covered or compensated.
5. Closing the claim
This final step is pretty straightforward. Your claim will be processed under the terms of your coverage. Should there be more expenses, Farmers can reopen your claim for further investigation.
