Email Deliverability Manager

QuoteWizard is looking for an experienced Email Deliverability Manager to join our small but mighty consumer email team. Millions of consumers use QuoteWizard to compare insurance quotes online and on the phone, and email is an important component in providing ongoing value to our consumers.

This role will be responsible for improving email delivery and inbox placement for transactional email campaigns at volume and will be a very integral member in growing QuoteWizard's email program. You will work with the consumer email and development teams to establish an effective and durable email deliverability ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively monitor, manage, and onboard IPs and sending domains to establish and maintain stellar reputation and maximize deliverability/inboxing results
  • Investigate and correct email deliverability issues by working with internal teams, ISP remediation processes, and email service provider
  • Leverage email testing and reputation management tools to determine reasons for non-optimal email delivery
  • Parse SMTP return codes, spam complaints, ISP feedback loops, hygiene responses, and internal data to diagnose and escalate reputation problem areas
  • Analyze current email tech stack and make recommendations for improvements around deliverability
  • Work closely with engineering team to integrate or build out best-in-class deliverability tools for in-house consumption
  • Provide expert advice and be subject matter expert on email deliverability for teams across the company
  • Stay current on industry trends, current ISP practices, emerging technologies, and email compliance regulations
  • Ensure that email practices are compliant with CAN-SPAM guidelines and other email compliance regulations

Desired skillset:

  • Deep understanding of all aspects of email infrastructure
  • Technical understanding of DNS, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC authentication and implementation
  • Strong working knowledge of ISP procedures (feedback loops, SMTP failure codes, etc)
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a marked ability to diagnose problems, suggest a solution, and follow to resolution
  • Strong communication skills across marketing, product, and technical functionalities
  • Not afraid to build out new tools or test working with new technologies
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, SQL. Working knowledge of scripting languages a plus

Requirements:

  • College degree or equivalent experience

Senior Business Intelligence Developer

Position Objective:

QuoteWizard trades in both web traffic, i.e. clicks, and insurance leads. We have several large corporate clients as well as thousands of independent agents across the country that we serve. Central to our business operations is a set of web-based applications, business layer software, and backend servers that run our core business.

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for the end-to-end development of Business Intelligence solutions including requirements gathering, logical and physical design, data modeling, ETL development, SQL development, unit testing, deployment, report creation, and dashboard creation utilizing Power BI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with business users to understand reporting and analytic requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into BI dashboard, analytic and report specifications.
  • Design and develop enterprise and departmental business intelligence, data warehousing and reporting solutions.
  • Design database schemas utilizing Visio and SqlDBM.
  • Develop and implement ETL processes, reports and queries in support of business analytics.
  • Develop and implement interactive analytic reports and dashboards utilizing Power BI.
  • Compile ad-hoc data and report requests.
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle.
  • Evaluate and improve existing BI systems.
  • Develop and update technical documentation.

Qualifications:

Education: College degree (B.A., B.S., or advanced degree) in information technology, computer science, another relevant field or demonstrated work experience equivalent.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience with relational databases
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with SQL (Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL preferred)
  • Minimum 7 years of overall BI design and development experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Extraction, Transformation and Loading (Microsoft SSIS preferred)
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with Data Warehouse / Solution Design
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with Dimensional Modeling
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Report Development (SSRS, Power BI, Tableau)

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience with Azure Cloud Services including SQL PaaS, IaaS, and Azure SQL DW
  • Previous experience working with Analytics & OLAP Cube Development (Microsoft SSAS preferred)
  • Previous experience working with Database Administration
  • Previous experience working with SharePoint
