For the fourth year in a row, QuoteWizard is one of America’s 100 fastest-growing inner-city businesses.

This is according to the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC), which has compiled and released a list of “high-power, high-potential businesses from around the country with headquarters in inner cities” every year since 1999.

ICIC and a national network of nominating partners select and rank named companies based on their dedication to urban entrepreneurship as well as their revenue growth.

QuoteWizard ranked 73th overall on the ICIC’s 2016 Inner City 100 list. The Seattle-based company earned that position thanks to its reported 2015 revenues of $73.88 million. Also a factor: its five-year growth rate (from 2011 to 2015) of 167 percent.

Those figures compare favorably with those reported by the rest of this year’s Inner City 100 businesses. In particular, the average nominee boasted 2015 revenue or $12.2 million.

A few more statistics associated with 2016 Inner City 100 winners:

  • They represent 42 cities and 25 states
  • Collectively, they employed 7,324 people in 2015
  • They also created 4,696 new jobs over the last five years
  • On average, just over a third of their employees live in the same neighborhood as the company

"Being named one of the fastest-growing inner-city businesses in the US for the fourth year in a row is more than an honor," says QuoteWizard CEO Scott Peyree. "It's also proof of our success as well as our commitment to this industry and to consumers who need insurance."

Adds ICIC CEO Steve Grossman: “We are extraordinarily proud of these pioneering entrepreneurs who lead the way in economic revitalization in America’s inner cities.”

Founded in 2006, QuoteWizard helps people save money on insurance by connecting them with national companies and local agents. It is privately held and has offices in Seattle and Denver.

Along with being named to the ICIC’s Inner City 100 in 2013 through 2016, the company has earned a number of other awards and accolades in the last decade. It also has been included on the Inc. 5000 every year since 2010 and Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 in 2012, 2013, and 2014.
