My Amfam is American Family Insurance’s main mobile app. It offers all the basics of the company’s website on your mobile device, so interacting with your insurance company or agent is just one touch away. History

American Family Insurance opened for business on October 3, 1927. An insurance salesman named Herman Wittwer had the dream of selling car insurance to farmers in his home state of Wisconsin. Originally named Farmers, the company slowly began selling insurance to a wide range of customers. In 1963, the name was changed to American Family, and today offers a variety of products to people across the country.

American Family was awarded the Teen Driving Safety Leadership Award in 2010 for its Teen Safe Driver Program, which was found to reduce risky driving behavior by 70%. The company is also known for its annual charitable donations to the United Way. American Family also aims to be more sustainable, and is taking big steps to reduce their footprint and divert 90% of its waste away from landfills.
