History

Allied Insurance was formed in 1929 by Harold Evans. Originally, it was referred to as ALLIED Automobile Association, but over time the name has changed to just Allied. In 1998, Allied merged with Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, and now operates under it. Currently, Allied is represented by independent insurance agents and their headquarters reside in Des Moines, Iowa.

Claims Process

To file a claim with Allied, click here.

After you file a claim with Allied, you have the power to choose how you want your damage to be assessed. You can decide to use Allied Vehicle Repair network to fix your car. You’ll bring your car into the shop to get an estimate from the technician. Afterwards, an Allied Claims Associate contacts you and explains how to stay on track of your repair process.

Another option is to have your car inspected at an Allied drive-in claims center. There, a claims associate can inspect your vehicle in about 45 minutes and then provide a written estimate.

Filing a claim with Allied produces multiple repair services for you and your damaged vehicle, such as:

  • Emergency clean-up service
  • Repair shop referral
  • Vehicle rental assistance
  • Towing and temporary repairs
  • Glass replacement
